Take your calligraphy to the next level with Another Loop in a fun and relaxed setting for improvers!
Join us for Intermediate Modern Calligraphy with Another Loop at The Ouseburn Trust. This hands-on workshop is perfect for anyone who has already discovered a love of calligraphy and is ready to push their lettering further. You'll need to have completed a beginners calligraphy class before attending as this one picks up right where that left off!
This class will be limited to a small group of participants, so you'll receive personalised attention and hands-on guidance from Charlotte, a skilled calligrapher from Another Loop. Together we'll explore bounce lettering, flourishing and layouts - three techniques that will transform your lettering and give it a style that's truly your own. Along the way you'll try out a new nib and get to work with luxurious gold ink, with Charlotte on hand throughout to guide, troubleshoot and inspire!
You'll finish the session by creating a final piece of work to take home. Whether that's a favourite line from a poem, a song lyric, or a personal motto. If you'd prefer, blank cards will also be available so you can create a set of cards ready for gifting throughout the year. Either way, you'll leave with something beautiful to frame, gift, or keep.
Your ticket includes a new nib to experiment with, gold ink and the tools you’ll need for making your piece of art and developing your own style once you get home.
Please bring along your Modern Calligraphy Kit to the workshop as we will be using the pad, guides, ink, nib and nib holder to get started!
We will be using ink which can get messy, so it's worth not wearing your best clothing, just in case!
